The Absinthe Green Fairy: Fuji Provia (35mm, 100 iso) User-Review

3

Do you need something to cheer up your photos? If so, all you need is a trip with the green fairy of films, but be careful, you might get hooked up on it!

All photos taken with Lomo LC-A. Doubles taken with Yashica 35-ME and Lomo LC-A.

Fuji Provia is one of my favorite 35mm, 100 ISO slide film; its sharpness, saturation and versatility makes it the perfect film to carry.

You can use this film on long exposures or with flash at night but during the day it can deliver amazing colors, the blues and green seem to pop out of the pictures, when overexposed and cross-processed, it delivers superb green tones with a range from yellow to dark green and without compromising sharpness, some slide films loose some sharpness when cross-processed but with Provia you can forget blurry X-pro photos, it never lets you down.

I also like to use Provia on doubles; again, its sharpness makes the two layers very well defined and sharp, the saturation is very good and balances well the two layers.
This film is without a doubt a must-have.
