A dolphin swimming along a field of flowers? Through the amazing skills of our community’s double exposure master, hodachrome, it’s certainly possible!
Everyone’s favorite lomographer from Japan, hodachrome, took the photos below way back in 2011, but as they say, awesome things never get old. We’re sure that anyone who has already seen the beautiful and dreamy double exposed photos below will still be impressed upon flipping through the album today.
Taken using a Canon EOS7 loaded with Kodak Portra 400VC, this album is certainly one of the best double exposures we’ve seen — nothing less to expect from our own double exposure master! However, in his album description, hodachrome also says the shoot proved to be a challenge:
“First went to the aquarium and shot dolphins only. Then waited patiently for two or three weeks till cosmos grow… Set the dolphin films again and shot flowers only at a cosmos garden. Used a “half ND filter” or black cloth, to control the amount of exposure. (masking half of the lens with them) I tried about 100 shots but most of them ended in failure…"
