There are certain types of photographs that we lomographers just can’t get enough of no matter how much we’ve already taken them. The silhouette is one of them, and the staggering number of such photographs that can be found in the alone community is a strong proof of its popularity.
Photos of silhouettes are easy enough to spot, usually characterized by solid, dark-colored images against bright backdrops. They can be photos of people, animals, architecture, statues, and trees among many, many other subjects. Simple photographs they may be, yet there’s just really something about silhouettes that make them striking, beautiful, and dramatic. They’re mysterious, often intriguing and sometimes even a bit eerie.
Have a look at these pool of silhouettes taken by our awesome community members, all taken in glorious analogue!
