Today’s awesome album is filled with everything we all love about Springtime: beautiful blooms, bokeh-licious foliage, and dreamy scenery, all captured in glorious cross-processed colors!
With the Northern Hemisphere still well into the more temperate Spring season, we must admit we can’t get enough of those lovely photos of foliage and flowers in full bloom. The latest addition to our favorite awesome spring snaps are the ones taken by our fellow lomographer from Chicago, marcus_loves_film! On an interesting note, the photos, taken using a Canon A-1 loaded with expired Fuji Astia, were actually uploaded a year after they were shot, as our fellow lomographer did the Gary Winogrand approach (of not developing film immediately to lose the memories that came with their taking) to photo editing.
“Sometimes you have to wait a while before reviewing/editing/printing your photos. I waited a year before selecting and editing these photos for publication on the internet. My choice of frames from the roll of 36 and color grading would have been much different a year ago; less deliberate and unrefined,” he says in his album’s description.
The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
