Everyone told us their favorite fairy tales through their fantastic Lomographs. Now, it is our turn to reveal who the winners are!
The Tell Me A Fairy Tale Rumble sure took us to a magic-filled rendezvous with some fantastic and whimsical characters from far away kingdoms! For that, we would like to thank everyone who submitted their fairy tale-inspired entries for taking our inner children to a wonderful trip inside some of our favorite stories!
But, here are those who put an extra dose of pixie dust and fairy magic in their Lomographs – our 5 winners of 10 piggies each:
We asked Lomographers from across the world to show us their "Stop the World" moments and tell us the stories behind them in our collaborative competition with smash-hit broadway musical Come From Away. Here are the winners!
Our featured lomographer is a doll maker from Romania who takes inspiration from fairy tales and dreams. Get to know Oana, or @melanispixe in the Lomography community, in this Newcomer of the Week interview.
Join us on November 10th, to celebrate our 25th Anniversary at the W New York! We're revealing our newly installed LomoWall along with having camera packages if you book rooms at any of the W Hotels in NYC. Come and have a fun time with your favorite Lomographers.
What Lomography is all about, beyond the cameras and aesthetic, is the people who share these with. Year 2016 was a memorable year for all of us, and we'd like to treat everyone who strengthens and inspires the community by sharing their own works.
We've been fans of Brian Bruno, or @brunoroids work ever since he showed us some fantastic rolls of our favorite films like the LomoChrome Purple and Lomo F2. He uses all kinds of analog gear, and wanted to take the Neptune Convertible Art Lens System for a spin. Check it out!
Ray Litsala is a one-of-a-kind analog photographer who enjoys portraying women just the way they are; beautiful and confident. His models inspire him to create magical photographs, and along the way, he also tells their stories.
Solène Ballesta is a Parisian photographer who started photography at 15 years old. This talented photographer was awarded in 2014 by the special mention of the young fashion photography Picto Awards. In her shots, Solène drives us to an enchanted world. For this series, she used the Daguerreotype Achromat Art Lens and she's telling us the story of a woman who is waiting for someone or something in her small theater and who decides to venture to the morning mist. “It is the uncertainty that charms one. A mist makes things wonderful.” said Oscar Wilde.
Israel-based musicians Balkan Beat Box are inspired by a variety of styles: klezmer, reggae, and hiphop to name a few. As it turns out, they were also quite inspired while shooting with the Lomo'Instant Wide on tour and share their photos with us here.
To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are honoring 25 of the most iconic Lomographers in the community. Today, we turn the spotlight to Graziella Ines, @grazie who has been part of the community since 2010. In this brief interview, she talks about how Lomography enabled her to meet fellow film shooters and encouraged her to stay creative.
Calling out all creatives! We all know that art is what makes up our lives. It's the passion that gives us the will and purpose to live. So, without further ado, here are the bad habits you'd want to cut for an enriching, creative life.
