Lomography joined the opening party for Hang Loose Media Studio’s new studio space.
Hang Loose, a new film studio and home for filmmakers opened this February in downtown Toronto. A 13,000 square foot building that originally remained empty for the past decade, has been made into a new production house and a full service studio with high-end production equipment. Hang Loose is not only just a studio but a center for Toronto’s film and photography community by renting out production equipment and office spaces as well as offering classes and workshops for those who want to learn more!
Hang Loose hosted a party to celebrate the grand opening of the studio on February 27th. About 200 guests who mingled, ate, drank, danced and sang to music from the band “Train Reaction” were invited. Hypnotic Landscape’s 3D mapping installation took place on the studio space. The crowd also enjoyed Hang Loose’s media Theatre with the addition of bagged popcorn! There was also a Photo Booth that was themed based on the board game Clue, even costumes and props were available for those who wanted to dress up.
Lomography collaborated by sending gift bags to Hang Loose as well as the Diana F+ to raffle off to a lucky winner. It was a successful opening to a beautiful new studio in downtown Toronto.
