Kino Stories: ‘Lomo Star Wars’ by eiji

2014-03-15

It’s the LomoKino, “Star Wars,” and Lego, all in one short video!

Video by eiji. Link to the video’s page in the community here.

In this stop-motion Kino video by Japan’s *eiji*, he recreates a scene from one of the most popular film series ever using only Lego blocks and minifigures! The film appears simple enough, but we’re giving it plus points for the behind-the-scenes effort made by eiji in moving the minifigures to create a story. One highlight of this short is the lightsaber fight between the two figures, where flashes of light were incorporated in the scene for emphasis!

Here in the Lomography magazine we often venture to the community’s Movies section, where we’re able to stumble upon shorts that do not only depict interesting storylines but are also well-executed. The new Kino Stories series aims to put the well-deserved spotlight on these gems, so keep those creative juices flowing and tell us your story! Who knows, you just might get featured in an upcoming installment!
