Here’s another thing to keep you Lomographers with huge Frida Kahlo crushes up all night. MOLAA will showcase some of the renowned artist’s personal collection of film prints starting this March 15, 2014.
In light of Women’s History Month celebrations all over the world, the *Museum of Latin American Art* (MOLAA) is set to exhibit a collection photos from world-renowned female artist *Frida Kahlo* this coming March 15, 2014. Entitled “Frida Kahlo, Her Photos,” the exhibition will feature some of Kahlo’s photographic body of work ranging from traditional portraits, candids and other photos that show a different view into the artistic and personal side of the artist.
“Frida Kahlo, Her Photos” will run until June 8, 2014. The photos included in the exhibition will include, as written on MOLAA’s official site, “images of Frida, by Frida and for Frida.” Bulk of the photos are from Kahlo’s Casa Azul archive from Mexico City.
MOLAA will be hosting a series of events that celebrate Kahlo’s life and works that includes Frida Kahlo look-alike contest, art showing by local female artists and the like. Admission is at $20 for non-members while each membership account gets two free admissions to the opening.
