Rollei Retro 35 mm 400: A User-Review

5

I really love the b&w Rollei retro film for this very special "taste" of B&W. Deep contrast but with a great and subtle range of white, gray & black that gives your shots a very rich texture.

The Rollei Retro 400 is a perfect film for b&w because of its great and deep texture, but also because of the adaptability and sensitivity of it. You can use it indoors or outdoors, with low light or great sun, the main qualities of this film are always there. You can be sure, with this film, that your shots will have a perfect structure and texture. It's amazing how this film can adapt easily to every situation...

Sometimes, you don't know what film sensitivity to choose and you could think that the 400 is perhaps a bit too much for great sunny conditions, but you also want to take some shots indoors... so don't hesitate, take a Rollei Retro 400 and the results will be great! :)

@totalgenervt: yeah, just read it in your link... surprising, but not so much because they look very similar... but I didn't use APX 400 very often (used only 1 roll I think...) so I can't really make a compared study of both films...

no need to compare both here - but if you want to, you have to use the same cam and scanner adjustments for the negatives ... and you should use a high tech cam and optics ... maybe then it would be nice to compare both ... and have a look on pics out of both
