Photo of the Day by hodachrome

2014-02-23 3

Same place, different universes – our mouths are still hanging because hodachrome just opened a portal to another dimension! Congratulations for having our Photo of the Day!

Credits: hodachrome

If Salvador Dali saw melting time pieces, elephant-looking creatures with thin long appendages and other surreal stuff, it’s mighty good argument that Lomography master hodachrome sees things in multiple exposures. This perfectly splitzed photo from hodachrome looks like it was surgically done in a highly specialized operation room that only allows analogue procedures.

hodachrome created this analogue masterpiece using the ever dependable Lomo LC-A loaded with Kodak Portra 800 film. You can see more of his EBS or expose both sides shots in this album.

Congratulations to hodachrome for winning Photo of the Day!

It will definitely take a stretch of trips just to get to know this this South American pearl. I finished my copa tour last year in Marajó, the island of bulls—it just might be an eternal highlight for me.

    Janne Parviainen: Light Magician

Janne Parviainen is a 35-year-old artist from Helsinki, Finland. He is both a painter and a photographer but sometimes, he swaps his painting tools for light and creates illuminated pieces of art. Abandoned places are his favorite places for shoots because, according to him, "there's so much lived life and stories in abandoned places, they are the lost diaries and photos turned to dust of lives that once bloomed."
