It was surely a night to remember for Beatlemaniacs and music fans alike. McCartney and Starr went on stage after an introduction by award-winning actress Julia Roberts. With McCartney on a psychedelic, colorful piano and Starr on drums, the duo performed the former’s upbeat single “Queenie Eye” from his 2013 album _New_.

Watch the epic performance below, which also sent the late John Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono dancing along in her seat (around the 4:00 mark)!

Earlier in the night, Starr also made a solo performance of his song “Photograph”, which was part of his third album _Ringo_ (1973), as old photos, including those of the Beatles members, flashed on the screens behind him.

This was only one of the few times that McCartney and Starr collaborated for a performance post-Beatles. Quoting Starr, _Rolling Stone_ reported that the duo performed together only a week ago. A couple of their other public performances were during Starr’s 70th birthday (2010) and at a benefit concert for director David Lynch (2009).

The 56th Grammy Awards was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26. McCartney was among the winners of the night, clinching the award for Best Rock Song (for “Cut Me Some Slack” co-written with surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, and Foo Fighters’ Pat Smear). Meanwhile, McCartney and Starr are set to record The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles, which is slated to air on CBS on February 9.
