This popular workshop experience is coming to LA for the first time! Learn to create light painting masterpieces!
Light-Painting 101: Light Painting is taking the analogue world by storm. In this popular evening workshop, join us in lighting up West Hollywood as we show you the basics of Light Painting, plus techniques, tricks, and tips that will have you creating your own Light Painting masterpieces in no time. A range of Lomographic cameras will be used to achieve amazing analogue results; borrow a Diana F+, Fisheye 2, or Colorsplash camera and hit the neighborhood for hands on instruction. Cost: $10 (students only $7) includes one free roll of film and a loaner camera. All attendees will receive a 10% coupon to use at the Lomography Gallery Store.

American photographer Hayden Williams has a thing for double exposures. Ever since he discovered what a simple analogue camera is capable of, he has been experimenting with light, combining it to create surreal, dreamy images.
Janne Parviainen is a 35-year-old artist from Helsinki, Finland. He is both a painter and a photographer but sometimes, he swaps his painting tools for light and creates illuminated pieces of art. Abandoned places are his favorite places for shoots because, according to him, "there's so much lived life and stories in abandoned places, they are the lost diaries and photos turned to dust of lives that once bloomed."
The music video for Stefano Benni and Fausto Mesolella's "Van Gogh" features piked lights and textured backdrops. Consider it director Alfredo Buonanno's version of a swiped palette of paint. His tool? Lomography's ode to the first photographic lens, the Daguerreotype Achromat.
