Cape Times Selfies

What is a “Selfie”? A selfie is a type of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. Selfies are often associated with social networking. In this campaign the selfies are made with good old analogue cameras.

Lowe South Africa developed a campaign for the Cape Times newspaper last spring in which famous photographs were re-imagined as selfies.

The Cape Times in South Africa ran an award-winning print advertising campaign, with the slogan: “You can’t get any closer to the news. The Cape Times. Know all about it.”

Enough said! Sometimes a picture tells more than a thousand words. Enjoy the photos.
