Vilnius is well known in Europe of its impressive Old Town. It is not very big but it is one of the oldest medieval old towns in the Northern Europe. You can find such buildings as the Gediminas castle which is the main symbol of foundation of Vilnius and down the hill there is Vilnius cathedral the main sacred place in Lithuania. I am happy that my work and study place is one of the most elaborate architectural complexes in the city. Vilnius University Architectural Ensemble occupies a large part of the Old Town and has 13 courtyards.

The oldest Academic library in Lithuania is Vilnius University library which works in the historical place in the old town. There are plenty of others impressing buildings in the old town. You can find hundreds churches of different confessions of different times. The all history of Lithuania is written on the streets of Old town of Vilnius. It is importing that in 1994 the Vilnius’ Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in recognition of its universal value and originality.

Vintage Gallery: 19th Century Photographs by Unknown Artists

Portraits housed in gilded lockets, low-contrast ambrotypes, manually produced collages. This is the realm of collectors, the ones who act on personal impulse rather than the prescribed canon. Something about old prints draws them in, and it’s not necessarily perfection.

    Eugenia Loli's Surreal Collages

In the hands of those capable wielding it, art can be a powerful weapon. With it, for one, creation of fantastical realms far removed from the one we live in is entirely possible. Through collage making, Eugenia Loli builds such worlds that invite the audience not only to marvel at them but also, and most importantly, to see through the hodgepodge of images to find meaning and formulate interpretations.

Vicuna's Travel Stories | Sunrise in the Desert

Burkina Faso is a country that has three different climatic areas. It's mostly a land of the Sahel, very dry but with some vegetation and a short rainy season. The very south of the country is already in the tropical zone but the north still belongs to the Sahara desert.
