A few months ago, I took photos with the amazing Horizon Perfekt for the first time and I was so glad I was somewhere scenic when the chance came up. Allow me to refresh your memory briefly and share with you some of my first “horizons” after the jump!
In June 2013, I went on a mad scramble for an “end of Summer” trip with chamielicious and pauee1617 in Pagudpud, a popular beach destination in the northern Philippines. Little did I know that aside from having a lovely time at the beach, the trip would be marked with another lomographic milestone: shooting with the amazing (and teeny bit intimidating) Horizon Perfekt.
Chamie was on her last few frames of her film loaded in the Horizon Perfekt when she asked me, “Would you like to use this once I’m done?” Of course, I very much wanted to, but I haven’t even tried testing or loading one. Not wanting to waste the panorama-worthy scenery and eager to get lovely beach snaps in glorious slide film, I gave in.
After getting briefly acquainted with the workings of the camera and sorting out the newbie moments, lo and behold, I managed to get a handful of passable beach panoramas! While most of them were over-exposed (and maybe even a bit too saturated for some), I quite like them even if they’re far from perfect!
So, what do you think?
The Horizon Perfekt shoots images the length of two standard frames. With full aperture and shutter settings, this premium panoramic camera gives you total control over your shots. Prepare to be blown away by the amazing Horizon Perfekt, available here.
