Fujifilm’s FP-3000B 3×4 Instant Film to be Discontinued

2013-11-14 11

A shadow is cast yet again on the analogue world as Fuji discontinues another film. This time around it is the FP-3000B 3×4 Instant Film.

Sad news for instant shooters out there. Fujifilm just announced that they will be discontinuing their FP-3000B Instant Black and White film. As it stands, this is the only black and white instant film available in the 3×4 size on the market, so the time to hoard and stock up is now. It’s not everyday that you chance upon instant film that’s sized 3×4 AND has 3000 ISO. Good night, sweet prince.

I'm thinking Fuji is not into supporting cameras they didn't make. Corporate management is very timid, in recent years, and dumps markets at the slightest dip, rather than than try to promote the market 1st. See the disappearance of real IR (900nm+) films. Hint to LSI: how about contracting with Foma or Efke for some real IR film, suitable for a #87C filter (I've got one), PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!
