With a nod to beach culture and the famous La Rocco Tower (check out the logo), Madhatter’s roots are firmly related to the Island of Jersey. The shop and everything about it is unique in its own right – you’ll notice various photos and artefacts that draw in the heritage of surfing into the shop – a homage to the Wilko’s obsession with surfing and beach culture.
With a retro throwback to the interior design and a collection of some of the most influential brands in surfing, Madhatter is here to stay.
We asked Mad Hatter Daisy some Lomography questions
Which one is your favourite Lomography camera and why?
My favourite camera would have to be the Spinner 360 as it captures everything around you in that one moment in time…. With fantastic images!
What’s the weirdest Lomographic moment you’ve ever had?
As of yet, nothing too weird has happened to me within the realm of Lomography! Other than spending so much time getting one image set up only to find you double exposed it and getting frustrated… Yet some people would find the image weirdly intriguing…
What is the nerdiest question you’ve ever been asked in your shop?
As the nerdiest thing goes… I am still waiting for the day someone comes in and starts rambling on about something I do not have a clue about :/
Where is the best place to shoot some Lomographic masterpieces in your city?
The best place to shoot in Jersey would have to be our beautiful beaches. Whether it’s sunrise or sunset, shutters open or not! You can always take a great shot with any camera ;)
