Regardless of what some people may tell you, college isn’t easy. However, there are a few things that can help you get through it. These are coffee, junk food, film cameras, and friends – in that order. This is what a normal day of college is like for me, a college student with film cameras.
I have found out that keeping a schedule in college helps make things easier. That’s exactly what I do: I keep a strict routine that involves taking my cameras with me and shooting photos everywhere I go.
So, let’s begin the day. It’s cold, foggy, but that’s what mornings are like here. I’ll usually grab some coffee and a few nutritious snacks to give me fuel for class and for climbing the thousand or so sets of stairs I have to walk to get there. Of course, I don’t forget to bring my backpack and at least one film camera!
Okay, I have a few minutes left before our first class begins. I’ll quickly reach into my backpack and pull one of the film cameras out! Snap a few random photos of the campus while the morning hours envelop the atmosphere.
After the first class, I’ll check my mailbox in the Student Center and see if I got any mail! Next, if it’s a warm day, I’ll take a quick walk to the nearby park and relax with some friends or just take photos. Either way, I’m good!
Now that I’ve had a little fun, I’ll go finish the rest of my classes. All right, the professor lets us out early! I should probably go to the top floor of the library now to study a little and finish my homework.
Phew! That took longer than I thought it would. It’s time to grab something to eat, then go back to my dorm room and relax by making some more coffee and blogging. Who knows I may even read a book (for fun)!
That has been a tough day of classes, but at least I got some cool photos out of the deal! The sun sets, and another day of college is complete.
