Ash Grey sand and an amazing sunset. This fishing village a few hours away from manila is the jump off point to three amazing islands.
First of all, I didn’t get to see those amazing islands which sucked. I was already there! I can just borrow a boat from the seven boats we rented for the shoot and go take real nice lomos but I was stuck at the shoot. Pffft. So one roll I double exposed going home, one negative film I finished on the beach and one slide as well. All three films were meant for those three amazing island. Anyway, it’s always nice to eat beside the beach, the salty sea breeze, the smell of inihaw, the cold coke light comforted me and I instantly forgotten the islands. The shoot went on, with an epal art director in tow, work kinda sucked. It was hot and I was sweaty and the net connection was crappy. But, the town is small and happy. Videoke blasted on every hut and men fresh from the days catch were getting drunk.
I say what islands? I go sleep. This entry is going nowhere. enjoy the lomos people! heeh. =)
Nowadays it is unusual to spot the millennial adolescent basking in the aqua and terra of Mother Earth. Italian photographer Francis Flower veers away from the landscape of urban youth as he focuses his camera on young adults taking leisure on terrains and bodies of water.
Experimentation is the bloodline of Lomography. The nucleus of the operation is an open mind. This has made digital strides possible, but even then, the movement is still beholden to film photography. The reasons range from philosophical to practical. The scope also includes three fields that make analog photography challenging—and yes, quite the daring opposite of digital ease.
Brazil is an awesome country for traveling. There's so much to explore, each place very different from one another. It will definitely take a stretch of trips just to get to know this this South American pearl. I finished my copa tour last year in Marajó, the island of bulls—it just might be an eternal highlight for me.

I have always loved the idea of seeing my photos on stone and other natural materials. So, a few months ago, I began googling how it could be done. This is how I discovered (and fell in love with) liquid emulsion. Liquid emulsion is photographic emulsion which you can melt down and paint on any surface. You can then expose an image and develop it using traditional darkroom chemicals. In this article, I would like to explain the process a little, so that if you are also interested in giving this fun process a go, you can!
