Monthly Events: Wicked-good October


Parties and workshops and bus trips, oh my! Don’t be scared Lomographers, we’re here to hold your hand through the dark and scary month of October. Did you know that it’s been one year since we opened our doors to the public? We’re celebrating this incredible accomplishment by throwing the largest party of the year! We’re also renting out a bus for what could possibly be our biggest event ever. Read on for full details!

Friday October 4th from 6pm-10pm: Lomography Chicago’s 1 Year Anniversary Party!
It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we popped the champagne and opened the doors to the very first Lomography Gallery Store in the great Midwest! It’s no secret that Chicago has one of the best analogue communities in the USA. So we are so pleased to show the work of a few of our top community members, who made us feel right at home. Be sure to sign up for the raffle and you could walk away with your very own shiny new Lomographic creation. We can’t wait to party with you!

Sunday October 6th @ 2:00pm: “Night of the Living Belair!” **
Much like Halloween, the Belair is one of our all time favorite things here at Lomography Chicago. Come learn all about this magical medium format camera. Our little Belairs pack a punch while still only weighing about 1 lb. The Belair will draw you in, much like the call of the ware wolves at night! There are limited loaners so you must pre-pay to register for this spooky workshop.

Sunday October 13th @ 2:00pm: “Dawn of the Diana Mini!” *
This workshop will feature the Diana Mini camera and all of its ghosts and ghouls! Get inspired by the fall beauty and learn how to create your own Diana Mini masterpieces. Discover why it’s one of our favorites; learn some tips, tricks, and techniques! This camera is so great it’s almost SPOOKY!

Sunday October 20th @ 2:00pm : “I Know What You Did Last Sardina” and the Great Leaf Adventure! *
Celebrate this beautiful season with us for a fun photo walk through Wicker Park in search of the colorful leaves and haunting decor! We’ll start at the store with a quick La Sardina overview, and then head out into the neighborhood. Bring your own camera for a free workshop. But don’t worry we have some to share, if you’re not too scared that is!

Sunday October 27th from 12pm-5pm – Pumpkin Patch Bus Trip with the Diana F+! $20 **
We’re heading to the famous GOEBBERT’S FARM pumpkin patch, and you’re invited! Just $20 gets you a ride to and from the patch, entry into the farm, plus a loaner Diana and 2 rolls of film. Be sure to bring some extra cash for the you-pick pumpkins and all the other great activities, including camel rides, and paintball! And because we love fall so much, apple cider doughnuts are on us for the ride back home! This is a great deal on such an epic day, so you better act fast! We ask that you register by pre-paying at the store. We can’t wait to take a trip with you and have a fall-tastic analogue day!

Thursday October 31st –Trick or Treat Lomo Style and All Day Camera Rentals!
We love Halloween so much that we’re offering a full day of camera rentals for just $10! Come in and pick any plastic camera to take out and capture all the fun costumes. We’ll set you up with a quick lesson, and a free roll of film. And if you can’t make it for the rental come by for the Lomo style trick or treating! What is Lomo style trick or treat you ask? Anyone who comes by the store in costume on Halloween gets to grab a prize from the mystery box. Will it be a trick or a treat? You’ll have to wait and see!
