The famed Dr. Gonzo may have well been on the shore of an off-the-map beach in Puerto Rico in this photograph. Hunter Thompson shook the world with his bigger than life stories and crazily realistic characters. Paul Kemp was but one of the fictional characters he drew for himself in the novel The Rum Diary and the similarities in this photo are eerie. The enigmatic writer indeed bought the ticket and took the ride.
