In the final stage of the Colors’ Beats of Vietnam LomoWall Exhibition competition the Transportation of Vietnam was what we asked you to photograph. From stationary cyclos to the well-known scenes of lines of scooters meandering across the wide roads, we could almost hear the engines and bicycle bells through the photographs! See and hear for yourself after the jump!
The plethora of photos were delivered to us both directly on our Competition page and through Analogue House's Website. When we weren’t to dizzy from being spun around in a rickshaw we picked a winner!
Congratulations to lqdflo
Taken in the old city of Hội An, declared a World Heritage Site in 1999, these two cycle rickshaws or “cyclos” have a unique passenger configuration compared to other Asian countries. While we usually think of rickshaw drivers being located in front of the rickshaw, in Vietnam the driver usually sits and pedals behind the passenger. We wonder where the drivers are – probably stopping for some delicious Vietnamese food!
Congratulations lqdflo on your new Diana F+ edition!
