Music has always been a great subject for film photography. Sure, we can’t capture the swing of melodies nor the hum of the tones but remembering them through photographs make it all equally special.
While jennson, on the other hand, had a rather brilliant idea on his mind which involves a Lomography camera, some black and white film, a musician and his instrument, and a mask for all the musical notes!
An experiment turned masterpiece, his album Jukebox Hero features eight dreamy Diana F+ Lomographs shot with Ilford XP2 (120mm) film. In addition, jennson also used a Diana soft telephoto lens for more dream-like visuals! Now, don’t you just want to dive into a lovely sea of black and white while listening to beautiful music? We sure do!
The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
