In Stage 3 of the vibrant Colors’ Beats of Vietnam LomoWall Exhibition competition we asked you to submit photos inspired by the people of Vietnam. We were so pleased as you did that and more! Your faces stood out from the crowd, against brightly colored backgrounds, pausing from their daily routine to smile for the camera. Familiarize yourself with these faces after the jump as who knows, perhaps you’ll spot them in the crowd when you visit Vietnam!
The plethora of photos were delivered to us both directly on our Competition page and through Analogue House's Website. When we finally stopped smiling back at the many babies peeping out from behind their mother’s backs we went through all the hundreds of submissions and arrived at a winner!
Congratulations to Tấn Ngọc
Vietnam is well-known around the world for its fishing industry. As such, Vietnamese Fishermen are a well-known subject for photographers. The above silhouette captures the exact moment a net is cast in the water and is a near perfect decisive moment. With the sun setting, the golden hour of photography is at hand. We can enjoy the elements more profoundly in this setting. The clouds are visible, contrasted to the deep blue sky, and the water splash glistens against the rich golden sunlight.
In Vietnam, artisanal techniques (traditional, low-technology fishing practices) are still widely used such as traditional fish traps and Chinese fishing nets.
Congratulations Tấn Ngọc on your new Diana F+ edition!
