The 1939 MGM film, which casted then sixteen-year-old Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale, may not be the first film adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but it remains to be a classic must-watch film for both young and young at heart.
