Quick review of the Lomography Xpro 200 Slide Film

For the Lomography novice, choosing your first film is to me like shopping for condoms for the first time. There seems a ridiculous variety, each claiming superiority, and in fear of looking like you have no clue what you are doing – which, let’s be honest, most of us don’t – you don’t ask for help, but instead make a blind selection based on what ever knowledge you think you might have. Fortunately – in the lucky dip that life often appears to be – my blind faith presented me the gem that is the Lomography X-Pro slide film.

From the first roll I was amazed. I was presented with photos that looked like they’d been dipped in honey and dragged loving down memory lane. The results were photos drenched in character and colour, and looking more like they should be in my parents photo albums than my own. As a lover of all things retro’d I was ecstatic with the results of this film, and in combo with the Coloursplash flash I – a first time Lomographer – was producing shots I loved.

I highly recommend this film, it nostalgic volatility never fails to astound.

Good review. My past experiences with this film haven't been all that great. It's like the condom with a hole in it and next little orphan Annie. (My experiences that is...) Maybe I did something terribly wrong, but this isn't one of my personal film favorites.

    Your gallery rocks though!
