At the risk of sounding very dorky, I will admit that one of my dreams is to go to Japan just to see the cherry blossom trees in bloom. And seeing photos of them, just like in today’s Awesome Album feature, makes me wish that this dream would just come true already.
I suppose when talking about photos of Japanese cherry blossom trees, one would expect photos of neat rows of trees, all beautiful and in bloom in some posh park. But then again, not all trees are contained in parks now, are they? They are bound to be everywhere.
Which is why Lomographer gakurou's album, KLASSE W Yozakura Fever, is awesome. It captures the beauty of the blossoms in the most unexpected and random of places, and encourages us to think beyond the common perception — that beauty cannot be contained in just one place.
The photos were taken using the Fuji Klasse W loaded with Fuji Natura 1600 film.
The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
