Monday Moodboard: Rouleaux by Anastassia Elias

2013-07-08

I recently learned that Anastassia Elias, the French artist who makes beautiful backlit dioramas using toilet paper tubes, has just published a book showcasing her works. See if you also find her work inspiring after the jump!

Remember the ingeniously creative masterpieces of French artist Anastassia Elias? The beautiful mini dioramas made using toilet paper tubes? I’m happy to report that Anastassia has recently published a book on Blurb showcasing her wok. Entitled Rouleaux, the book features 67 toilet paper tube dioramas/sculptures that she made between 2009 and 2012.

Who could have thought that the cardboard tube we typically dismiss and throw away without batting an eyelash could be transformed into works of art? Anastassia’s work has certainly inspired me to use creativity to make something beautiful out of ordinary things. What about you, what do you think of her work?

Head over to Blurb to find out more and preview _Rouleaux_!
