Can you tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do for a living and what are your interests?
I’m a freelance graphic designer and photographer. I specialize in print design and publications but I want to get into commercial photography. Other than that I love to watch movies and read pocket novels.

How long have you been a Lomographer?
I’ve been into lomography since 2005. Most of my contemporaries aren’t into lomography or photography anymore but I’m still very much in the picture.

What do you remember most regarding your first encounter with analogue photography?
We had a client who didn’t have a budget for a professional photographer so I decided to shoot for them using a film SLR. It came out well and I have been shooting ever since for my design jobs.

Is there any particular Lomographic camera you would like to try shooting with?
I love the Supersampler. Although I don’t have one, I like the motion it captures. I’d probably get one when they make a sturdier model.

What’s the most unforgettable experience you’ve had in analogue photography?
During my early years in lomography, I joined a community called lomomanila. Lomography was so popular then; we were invited to several schools and companies to talk about lomography. Nothing like sharing and talking about what you love to do. We also had several exhibits and were also invited by commercial establishments to embellish their displays with lomowalls. Amazing experience!

Which is your favourite of Lomography’s golden rules?
Has to be rule no. 1—take it anywhere. You won’t get those surprising shots if you’re not ready with your gear.

If you could be anywhere in the world with your camera right now, where would that be and why?
Rome. Such a beautiful place filled with artistic inspiration.

What are your summer plans?
It’s already rainy season here but I’d like to shoot nature shots in the next few weeks.

Kindly share your favorite photo and describe it in a few words.
I’m known for my double exposed cloud shots. I love the clouds because it speaks of infinity and the supernatural; and when merged to earthly realities, you see that both realms are connected.

Any advice for the budding Lomographers out there?
Lomo newbies might be initially attracted with the effects (e.g. saturated colors, sprockets, lightleaks) which is fine. But eventually, try to shoot for content—your photos should tell a story.
