3 months ago, Lomographers from all over the world were stringing together the world’s largest analogue Lomo-Caterpillar – a human photo-chain where every person takes a shot of someone behind him and passes on the camera till a gigantic Lomo-Caterpillar is formed! Here in Singapore, 36 Lomographers braved the elements and head somewhere where no Lomo-Caterpillar has ever gone before – the HENDERSON WAVE!
Ever heard about a photo caterpillar? It’s a really fun concept where people stand in a looooooooooooooog line and take photos of the person standing behind them. Just like a photo chain, these photos are then edited to create a stop-motion animation – a giant Lomo-Caterpillar!
Picnic basket? Check! Camera? Check! Films? Check!
Flashing their megawatt smiles for the camera, our Lomographers had a spectacular time participating. Energy levels were at an all time high!
Because portraits were too mainstream, some decided to try out new ideas such as taking some shoe-o-graphy.
An initial close-up measurement of 0.8m turned into a funky idea to try some punching and slapping shots. But don’t worry, no Lomographers nor cameras were harmed in the process!
Alas, what better way to end the day off by indulging some sandwiches while enjoying the cool breeze. It was certainly a lovely Sunday spend together with new friends and cameras!
Before you feast your eyes on the LooooooomoCaterpillar, check out behind the scenes footage of that glorious day!
Behold, the Official Video of very first LomoCaterpillar from Singapore!!!
