We had a spectacular start off to June with our Luminato Workshop for the Festival’s Youth Volunteer Photography Program! Walking through Kensington Market, our big group got practice snapping some cool shots with the La Sardina – check it out after the jump!
During the Luminato Festival, we held a workshop for the Youth Photography Program to teach them some tips and tricks on how to use the La Sardina. We started off with an explanation of what Lomography is all about, followed by how to load film and all the specs of the La Sardina. For much of the youth, film was quite foreign, but they were able to pick it up very easily and were ready to shoot!
After a quick presentation, the group got to test out their new-found analogue knowledge with some practice on the streets of Kensington Market. For many, it was their first time tinkering with a Lomography camera. We made sure that they had some fun without thinking – just shooting!
The day started off cloudy, but fortunately the rain held off allowing the group to take some great shots!
We are super excited to share some fun photos from the workshop!
A huge thanks to the volunteers and youth program from Luminato who came eager to show LGS some love! To see more pictures from our workshop, check out Luminato Instructor Taku Kumabe’s article about his Lomography experience here!
