ActionSampler is Amusement!!!

2013-06-03

I got this camera last year because I saw an offer at Lomography’s online shop, and even though my favourite is the transparent one, I still got one since it takes the same pictures. Voilá!, I bought it with some piggies I had and I took it with me during summer.

The ActionSampler is a very easy camera: point, shoot, and advance the film. It doesn’t have much else, but the possibilities its 4 lenses give you are infinite! On another note, the lenses are fixed and you do not have other aperture options.

Due to how user-friendly this camera is, I often lend it to my younger cousins. Every now and then they put the finger in front on the lenses.

I think this is one of the most fun cameras and due to its small size, you can take it anywhere with you. You only have to bear in mind that you can only take pictures with good light since my Action Sample doesn’t have a flash and it’s not good for night pictures.

However, I still think it’s an awesome camera and it’s best feature is how amusing it is! It’s great to have the opportunity to take pictures in movement, jumping or portraits with different facial expressions.

Therefore, during winter, or for sightseeing, I don’t use it that much. But it’s my essential camera for concerts, trips to the beach, and sunny days. I love to photograph my cousins jumping, doing flips…

    The Infallible Electric Eye

By far the oddest-looking camera I own, the Electric Eye is an auto-exposure viewfinder camera made by Bell & Howell in the late 1950s. I picked one up online and ended up with another one, that came with a very cool, retro looking carrying case, from my grandfather. It took a little while to try these two out but after running some film I found that this camera is a lot of fun to shoot with.
