I had already finished one roll the first day I went to Finike during the semester break. I decided that I wanted to do something different this time. Right away, I came up with the craziest idea! Overexposing those I shot in Fenike with the new ones I would shoot in İstanbul! It would be great, wouldn’t it?
In order to make it a bit different, I decided to give the roll to a friend of mine. While I was to shoot in Fenike with La Sardina, he was to shoot in İstanbul with Zenit.
Well, I lost the roll and it took me two months to find it. However, frankly speaking, the results I have now are not that bad. Although the photos from İstanbul leap to the eye more than the ones in Finike, it is pretty satisfying for me that you can still see the little waves in the background.
If you are looking for something different, film swapping with a friend is a good idea since you can get awesome results. It is even more exciting not to know what your friend is going to shoot. To me, and to most lomographers as well, Lomography means “excitement,” “curiosity,” and “passion.” So, what the hell are you waiting for?! Go swap your films with a friend ASAP!
