Sunday Morning Lomowalk with Holga

Spring, Sunday, and kids. Is there anybody who doesn’t love that?

It was a Sunday morning and Sunday means it’s time for a lomowalk! Yeah, I got to leave the house because the adventure is out there. Suddenly, my cousins came to the house and I thought I was gonna take them out for a photo session. Okay, time to take a bath first and then have breakfast.

Finally, I was ready to go and we went to the park near home. The grass is so green and I had a slide film loaded so it’s gotta be the perfect combination. First frame was quite awkward. I told them to sit on the grass and make a pose.

Alright, another pose to break the ice! I told them to lie down on the grass, but at first they didn’t want to do it because it could make an ache in the body, but they did it eventually.

I chose a wall as the background and the results were great!

But in one frame, I forgot to turn the film to next frame.

And the time goes by with another shot

When it came to the end of the shoot, we did not go home right away; we actually were walked around before gong home. It was Sunday morning, right?! Well, I really really enjoyed that moment and the kids are fun to take photos of!

Would you rather lose your vision or your hearing? As photographers, we might choose the latter without a second thought, especially while viewing the festival photos that photographer Mart Vares captured with the New Petzval 85 Lens. Still, who doesn’t love the pleasant mechanical shutter sound of an old SLR that makes us commit to analog photography? While following the Nordic delegation at this years Waves Central Europe, we caught up with the Estonian band, Würffel, whose songs leave us feeling equally delighted.

The Pfaueninsel ("Peacock Island"), also known as "Pearl in the Havel sea," is a world cultural heritage and popular destination for Berliners. Loose peacocks, water buffalos and the magical character of the island were also a reason for me to go and spend one Sunday afternoon there, with my LC-A+ and the LomoChrome Purple film.
