A LomoWall is created from a flood of authentic, colourful, and awe-inspiring photographs. This exhibition will celebrate the experimental, lo-fi, analogue genre known as Lomography. During the month of the Festival, visitors can help build a Living LomoWall in the Lomography Gallery Store Toronto by bringing in analogue photographs to add to this ongoing installation. Part exhibition, part experience, it’s the sum total of thousands of images. There will also be a closing reception to celebrate the finished Living LomoWall.

Previous CONTACT festivals at the LGS Toronto

So, we thought we’d get a head start and ask our Lomography community for photos to add to the Toronto Living Lomowall. Send us your photos of what analogue photography means to you! You could be a part of the world-renowned Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival this year.

Like any call for submission, Lomography asks for just a few things:

• Sort through your photos and pick the ones that you think best represent analogue photography to you.

• Film/Camera Type: Any kind of film/analogue camera can be used. Nothing should be digitally enhanced or manipulated.

• No visible borders or watermarks, etc.

• You can either submit it right here in this rumble, or send them via email to:, as we will be printing these out to add to the Living Lomowall. Also, if you have a physical copy of your photo and you’re in the Toronto area, please do drop by and bring in your photos also!

We can’t wait to see all the shots!

For me the essence of Lomo/analogue photography is to take a photo of everyday actions and/or objects and portray them as beautiful
