Every year Como hosts a traditional Easter Fair. As with each year, I visit it to take pictures, strictly in analog! While I’m waiting for the new editions, I propose to you some photos taken last year with my Lomo LCA+ RL camera!
Once again, in these weeks, Como prepares for the traditional Easter Fair, with its stalls and street vendors. I’m ready to take film pictures of this event! Last year, I used my Lomo LC-A in a day of variable weather, with a fantastic light in the sky, as you can see in the first picture! I love these tones of the sky and the light on the bare and white trees!
This fair is not the usual market of antiques and chinoiserie: its beauty is in the presence of street vendors that will delight you with demonstrations of their products!
The friendliness and openness of the sellers always attracts curious. Most of the objects are housewares, such as kitchen appliances or cleaning products.
The combination of the Lomo LC-A+ RL with a Kodak Gold 200 film produced vibrant and saturated colours, well suited for this event!
There is also the presence of friendly street artists, often accompanied by their dogs.
There are also stalls selling traditional sweets like this that sells typical Sicilian products.
The vendors are so nice, and the sweets are so good that no one leaves the fair empty handed!
There are even the traditional sellers of balloons, to the delight of the younger ones! And on the side, for the adults, there is a stall that sells carpets for the home!
Here is another stall that sells sweets, made of almond paste.
If I have to choose my preferred picture between all these, I’m really torn between the first one, with an incredible light, and the latter, in which the girl in the poster seems to smile and give advice to the seller girl!
Happy Easter to all!
