Analogue Day Activity: Plant Something

While urban living can be exciting and colourful, a person can only handle so much of the concrete jungle. To remind yourself of our more organic side, why not get those green thumbs growing and plant something?

Perhaps a lot of you may argue that unlike those who live at the countryside or in the suburban areas, urban-dwellers don’t exactly have much land or soil to claim as their own. But you don’t necessarily need a lot — even a little pot is enough.

Go get yourself a nice seedling or a flowering plant, and don’t be afraid in getting a little bit of dirt under your fingers. Let it grow into a refreshing sight by your window.

If you’re not one for flowers (due to allergies or some other reason), why not try growing a small herb garden then? This is especially great if you love to cook since herbs are better fresh. Parsley, basil, sage and thyme are grow quite well even if they’re grown indoors.

How do you make your life a little bit more analogue with each day’s passing? Aside from these Analogue Day Activities we’ve been sharing, why don’t you inspire your fellow lomographers as we inch closer to the worldwide Film Photography Day celebrations and share with us your own stories? Remember, you can also schedule your own meet-ups for the big event, show your analogue life through an awesome video, and profess your love for all things analogue with some of your best snaps!
