When summer comes, this place is highly recommended!
Sandy(!) beach in the north of Vienna where you can go swimming in the Danube. The water is quite fresh but I prefer this one a lot to the lukewarm public chlorine pools. Bus 238 or 239 from U4 station Heiligenstadt to osterneuburg/Weidling, then walk to the military casern, cross a little bridge and there you are. Now, the further you walk along the water north, the more beautiful and sandy it gets.
location: outskirts of vienna (e.g. klosterneuburg) | how to get there: metro u4 to heiligenstadt, bus 238 or 239

We all like to think of what the world will look like when it meets its inevitable end. However, it is human nature to hope that when the time comes, there'll still be a future. Plenty of times did cinema try their hands on imagining a post-apocalyptic future.
Instant photography has come a long way, and the excitement is not slowing down anytime soon. Even when the convenience of digital is just a few taps and swipes away, the world of instant continues to flourish with amazing developments to keep instant snapping fresh and cool.
The dynamic between a photographer and a non-photographer as his subject is evident. The photographer adjusts. When a photographer tries to take a portrait of a fellow photographer, it's a play of power. Such is this insight from Chinese portraitist Zhong Weixing.
Memory is a funny thing. Daily our brains take imprints to be curated in our memory bank, always being rewritten over and over, and when it overflows we subconsciously lose parts of things we once cherished or enjoyed. This is how the short film of Maria de Castro is.
