They say it would be a crazy thing to swim in the Danube canal, but not in this location!

A swimming pool in the Danube Canal! The Danube Canal goes all through the centre of Vienna but swimming there would be insane. Insane? Yes, until now. Some wise guy had the idea to plant a “swimming” swimming pool into the Danube Canal and to attach it to a ship where people can sunbath and hang out. The Badeschiff is open throughout the whole year and serves as a party and chill-out location, whereas the pool is only accessible during summer months. Pool open until midnight.

location: badeschiff, between schwedenbrücke and urania, 1010 vienna | how to get there: metro u4/u1 to schwedenplatz
