There are films and cameras that are simply and clearly made for each other and the photographs they produce together are just pure poetry.
There are a lot of things in this world that work well together. And there are things that work so perfectly together that they produce the most beautiful things.
It’s the same with Lomography. There are certain cameras and films that work well together so that we are able to produce lovely photographs. And then there are those that are simply and clearly made for each other so much so that the photographs they produce together are just pure poetry, especially when coupled with the perfect subjects and the perfect setting.
Such is the case with the Lomography Diana and the Fuji T64 (Type 1).
In my early years as a Lomographer, before I discovered the joys of TLRs, the beautifully lo-fi Diana was my weapon of choice. I was also obsessed with Fuji slide films since I had just discovered the joys of cross-processing and was fascinated with the surprising and color shifts they produced, especially those that turned purple.
So I found some expired Type 1 T64 rolls, which turned purple when cross-processed, on eBay and in no time at all, I brought those two together for a nice day at the beach.
The purple results were simply heaven!
The Diana F+ is a new twist on the ‘60s classic cult camera. Famous for its dreamy and soft-focused images, the Diana F+ is now packed with extra features such as panorama and pinhole capabilities. Available in our Online Shop.
