Her favorite Lomographic camera may be broke but that doesn’t stop her from discovering other Lomographic cameras and from shooting her daily life the analogue way!
She has been using an analogue camera for already six years but discovered our Community just a few months ago. Crazy to think but hey, she’s not too late for the party! For this lady from Paris is this week’s newcomer! Come and welcome her!
Full Name: Clara Abi Nader

Current film cameras: LC-A (died), Fisheye no. 2, Diana F+
How did you find out about the Community and who/what convinced you to join?
I have been a Lomographer for the past six years maybe but it is only now that I thought of joining the Lomo Community. I just felt like the time has come for me as my photography is evolving. I thought I should share it and discover what is going on around me.
Any inspirations when it comes to taking film photographs?
I am a photographer. I discovered photography at the age of 18, through my dad’s camera, a Canon A1. So film photography is and always will be the real inspiration for me no matter how good digital is going to be. That’s it. It is just holding an analogue camera and the magic is there. I just need that light that you can catch in a second, that moment that is going to disappear soon and there you go. You have shot a wonderful printed memory.
Any song or movie you live by?
This is hard to answer. I live with music and movies and I can’t stop myself from watching them. But L’homme qui voulait vivre sa vie for the movie and Pure Shores for the song!
As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday
When I first read those 10 Golden Rules I realized I have been applying them since the beginning. Always got my camera on, whenever, wherever. Don’t think. Shoot.
In this digital age, why still film?
Each roll of film is singular and this is the perfection for me.
What are you looking forward to in our Community?
Discovering types of film I didn’t know and meeting other Lomographers across the world!
Your favorite analogue camera as of the moment? Why?
Well, I don’t have a lot of them, but the LC-A used to be my favorite one until the lenses fell off. Sadly until today, it still isn’t fixed. It’s small, discreet, practical, with an amazing freedom of shooting. I got to work on a project with it that I named “Driving the Car.” I was shooting while driving other drivers! I had the chance to submit these photos to a competition then I got selected and was exhibited!
Afterwards I started using the Fisheye no. 2 a bit more but I got bored of it and I just bought a Diana in December and I have always loved medium format photography. So, after the LC-A, the Diana F+ is my new toy!
What is the Lomographic camera you’d want to have someday?
Ah, I am torn between the LC-Wide or the Belair!
Your favorite section or page in our Lomography site?
Random photos! I get to see photos from everywhere plus undiscovered ones that are brilliant!
Share your current favorite Lomograph (could be yours or a friend’s) and explain why it is your favorite.
This is my favorite photo, taken with the LC-A. Why? The blues? The yellows? The girl and her blue dress. Walking on the Danube? Memories I got there?
