Mark the Focus Settings on your Holga-Lens!

2013-02-20 3

The only problem with the great Holga-Lenses is that you can’t see the focus-settings. I found a really easy way to mark it and resolve this issue.

So I designed the labels with a label printer, you can do it with other stickers, with a white marker and other symbols. For me, the simple version with 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 is enough and there are no symbols on my label printer.

First I put the lens-attachment on the Holga, so that the slots from the lens-attachment are left and right of the symbols. I pushed the lens not till the end on the optic so that the symbols are visible.

Then I started to stick the individual numbers on the lens-attachment. Make sure you don’t twist the lens-attachment on the optic because it isn’t really tight.

I made this for all three lens-attachments.

Now the problem where i do the focus settings is away. In addition, I stick on the top of the Holga a N, so I remember to check if I turn from B to N!

Have fun with my new Tipster! Hopefully it will help anybody.

I'd like to see some examples of shots taken with the lens attachments at different focal lengths other than infinity. I always shot with my attachments set to infinity for some dumb reason.
