Dinosaurs, fossils and other curious artifacts all over are yours to ogle at in Vienna’s Natural History Museum
If your weakness is stuffed animals, bugs, birds, dinosaur skeletons and fossils, the National History
Museum is the right place for you to go. Choose a department of your special interest or make sure to
take a lot of time, because the museum is huge. It houses not only heaps of dead matter, but also some
glass-boxes with living snakes, fish, exotic bugs and tiny, tiny birds. All kept separate of course! The
archaeological cherry on top of the pie is the Venus of Willendorf (one of the oldest statues of mankind)
and it’s very well hidden!
