A much colourful cultural event in Vienna that runs for two whole days that’s just perfect for Lomo shooting!
The festival of cultures in the Augarten has established itself as one of the wildest and most colourful of open air festivals in Vienna. For two whole days, countless live bands from all corners of the world (gypsy bands interchange with Mexican Mariachi bands, followed by Brazilian drumming gangs), and culinary specialities from the world’s nations are brought together.
The festival usually goes down in mid July, check out the homepage of Augarten (www.kultur.park.augarten.org).
Autumn is our favourite season and it’s the perfect time to capture the last bursts of colour before the frost sets in. Join us for some exciting new workshops and events this month, and don’t forget to bring a scarf.
Being a great street photographer doesn't mean you should be shooting at famous capitals for their architecture or their visual appeals -- it's taking the heart of humanity in the city -- and the Big Apple just happens to win everyone at that.
On the fourth day of Residency Week in Vienna, Lomography organized a day trip to Bratislava for us. The capital of Slovakia is only an hour away from Vienna by train so the trip turned out to be a wonderful idea. We were supposed to meet on the main railway station Hauptbahnhof.
One thing is for sure - people all around the globe love celebrations. Just the thought of going on holidays and spending time with your loved ones is enough of a reason to celebrate and fully enjoy your days off. In many countries, Christmas is celebrated differently depending on the culture.

They say art destroys lives, just the way Vincent Van Gogh met his demise. It's a stereotype that creativity happens at the expense of our sanity. It is the other way around. Art saves lives, and photography has saved much more in the modern world.
We are excited to introduce the winner of our very first contest for Indian community, Lomotyohar, Isha Raina. She captured beautiful festive sights of Indian tradition and festivals, giving us a taste of cultural experience.
