Get a whiff of fresh air and commune with nature at Kino Unter Sternen
Each summer the Augarten, one of Vienna’s many parks, is host to an open air cinema known as Kino unter Sternen (Cinema under Stars). One of the Augarten’s World War II flak towers is lit up at night, serving as a surreal backdrop to the open air theater. Generally the movies at Kino unter Sternen begin at 9.30 PM, but come a bit earlier to get something to eat from the many stalls near the entrance to the theatre. Tip: since the number of seats is limited, come some time before the movie starts or book your ticket in advance via the Kino unter Sternen website.
