I was thinking about a nice easy photo project that I could do throughout 2013, one which would fit into my everyday life, and get me using ALL my lovely cameras. Then, I came up with #project52. Read on after the jump to see if you fancy giving it a go with me.
I have a LOT of cameras now (as you can see in the above photo) and it stresses me out that some of them don’t see the light of day from one year to the next. I literally have some cameras that I have only ever shot one roll or two on.
I know that part of the reason I dont use them often enough will be that they are trickier ones, and don’t guarantee results like a good SLR or my Lomo LC-A but they are super fun and deserve to be used. Therefore, I came up with my project for 2013.
Each week, beginning on January 1, I will keep a camera with me at all times 24/7 and use it to document a week in my life. Obviously, if I go to something special, or somewhere to take photos, then I will take additional cameras as well but I must shoot one roll on each camera in 7 days. If I manage to do this then i should have a really interesting diary of 2013, as seen through my different lenses. I am calling it #project52 so that I can tweet and instagram about it. I also thought it would be good to give it a hashtag in case anyone feels like they want to take part. I know one of my friends is considering it and I am trying to get fletchinski84 involved.
So, do any of you Lomo-lovers out there want to come on this journey with us in 2013? Let me know in the comments box!
