Are you like me and have been thinking about what films you will be saving for Christmas since September? Have you been wishing on every falling star and every dandelion for that special camera you just never seem to be able to save up for? Well, as we have those two things in common, why not see what makes it to my 12 days of Christmas wishes — you wont find any partridge in pear trees here, just lomo lovin!
12 rolls of Redscale XR 50-35mm
Redscale Film has been my favourite this year, especially since finding a camera which makes those gorgeous vintage tones we all hope for when shooting with redscale. I’m now completely out of this lovely film and would love to see how it does with capturing the cold winter snow here in Canada.
11 packs of Instax Mini Film
This year this has been another one of m favourites, since getting the Lomo LC-A Instant Back+. I haven’t bought any more instant film and have loved seeing the vivid colours and having the photos instantly means I bring this camera along often, capturing all the good times with friends especially.
10 Gift cards for my local lab for getting rolls developed
I think this one is pretty straight forward but since buying my new Epson V600 scanner which allows me to properly scan a bunch of lomo negatives that before used to just confuse the lab and I had to ‘ghetto scan’ using a white screen on my laptop (looking at you Spinner 360) I can now just get the film developed there and scan myself.
9 rolls of Lomography X-Pro 200 35mm
As it is overcast a lot during the winter I’d love to get some 200 ISO xpro in my stocking!
8 Keychains from the Ultimate Keychain Bundle
Okay, so I actually already have this keychain bundle but I’d love to get another one so that I could make them into matching sets of earrings!
7 Rolls of Lomography X Tungsten 64 home
The lomography version of tungsten film always seems to be sold out when I got to a gallery store or to make my orders online, but I would love to try it as everytime when I am going through someones lomo-home and they have a tungsten roll I just love the colours and mood and feel of the film!
6 Holga frames
I definitely need to display more of my photos and these cute square frames would allow me to do this in style!
5 Lomography Lady Grey 120 rolls
I have only tried this film in 35mm and loved it so I would love to get some of the 120 rolls in my stocking to use in my #1 wish list item!
4 Cameras from the Maps Editions
As I have wanderlust something bad, these cameras are right up my alley. Even though I actually already have all of these cameras in some shape or form I think having the whole set would look very nice up on the wall. If I had to choose just one? I would say the Diana F+ as mine is currently broken in many ways.
3 110 cameras
I’ve had some not too amazing shots come out of some old 110 cameras but I’d like to still give this medium a try and use the new lomography produced Diana Baby 110, Fisheye Baby 110 Metal and Fisheye Baby Bauhaus.
2 LomoKino cameras
I had a chance to use a LomoKino at Photokina this year and loved what came out of it. I think having two would be even better because you could get different angles, shoot with a friend, etc.
1 Lubitel 166+
My number 1 want item, the camera that i just never seem to be able to save up for, the twin lens Lubitel. I have wanted this for some time because of the beautiful images I see on other peoples LomoHomes with these. I’m going to a workshop this Sunday at the Toronto gallery store and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on and fully trying one out!
