Even if there’s no winter or no snow in Singapore, it ain’t gonna stop us from celebrating Christmas! Check out the the Christmas lights at Orchard Road!
Orchard Road is one of the busiest streets in Singapore, as well as a renowned tourist attraction thanks to the various fashion brands that line it.
And now that the Christmas season is here, of course, it’s not gonna to miss out dressing itself with lots of beautiful fancy lights!
Street lights are hanged across the streets, and Christmas trees could be seen everywhere. A mixture of Christmas carols could be heard, and buildings are showing off with their glittering Christmas outfits, too!
Outside the ION Orchard (which can be seen after exiting from Orchard MRT Station), a huge hollow Christmas tree is erected. People can ‘enter’ the Christmas tree and a wishing bell could be seen attached inside the ceiling of the tree. Beside the tree, there is an artificial and temporary fountain, to bring some retro-European element to the Asian hotspot.
It was a beautiful Friday and along the street, families and couples enjoyed their time after a long hectic week. Slowing down their steps and admiring the lights, I believe that’s the best part of Christmas that Orchard Road can provide.
Merry Christmas to all Lomographers!
