Name: Mat Barton
Lomography Home: ohlordy
Location: Mt. Maunganui, New Zealand
Current film cameras: Holga 135 BC, Holga 120 CFN, Diana 1960’s, and Superheadz Golden Half

How did you find out about the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

I got a Holga last Christmas, shot some rolls, searched the interweb for more film and surprise! Lomography popped up! Now I’m hooked!

Is there anyone in the Lomographic Society you look up to? If yes, who is him/her and why?

I stumble across new members everyday and they inspire me. But to name one, hodachrome really blows me away with his style

Some Lomographs from hodachrome.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

Rule 1, take your camera everywhere you go. I’ve always got a camera (or three) with me!

In this digital age, why still film?

I love the surprise of it all, particulary with plastic cameras and shooting new/old films!

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

Getting inspired by all the amazing photos I see every day and learning new and old techniques.

Your favorite analogue camera as of the moment? Why?

My Holga 120 CFN. It was my first medium format camera and I’m loving the focus fall off, the light leaks and the square format

From his Holga 120 CFN.

Share your current favorite Lomograph (could be yours or a friend’s) and explain why it is your favorite.

I see photos I love everytime I jump in Lomography. This is my favorite photo that I’ve shot because I just love the shadows, the high contrast and that classic Holga look!
