Holiday LomoAmigo: Ccwu

2012-11-29 25

I bet you’re familiar with him and the muse he loves to Lomograph! Coming from the Southeast of Asia, this Holiday LomoAmigo sure has a warm holiday ahead of him.

His username is easy to remember and his analogue photos are definitely a wow! But before we look at his lovely gallery of Lomographs, let’s learn more about ccwu’s coming cold season!

Name: C.C Wu
LomoHome: ccwu
Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I am C.C., I started using film cameras in 2010 and then enjoyed the analogue life afterwards. I am an editor. I like photography, movie, music and traveling around.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

I have been a Lomographer around two years ago when my girlfriend bought me a Diana F+. Then I Googled Lomography on the internet and now it has become my must-visit website almost everyday.

Popular Lomographs from C.C.!

What are your plans for the holidays?

Just take my cameras and take pictures all around.

Any New Year’s resolutions for 2013?

I want to take more and more nice pictures.

If you could recommend one movie and one song to everyone, what would they be?

500 Days of Summer since I have watched it several times!

Kings of Convenience – The Build Up. I love it so much!

What’s your favourite analogue camera to shoot with? Why?

The LOMO LC-A+. Because I only have to adjust the focal length before taking pictures. It’s very easy to operate!

Lomographs from his favorite LC-A+!

What’s the next camera you’d like to get your hands on?

The Leica M6. I have always wanted it!

What’s your favourite memory from this year?

This summer, I took a trip to Taitung in Taiwan. It is a beautiful place and I’ll never forget it.

And now for the toughest question – What’s been your favorite photo from the past year? Why?

Simply because it is beautiful.

Any holiday shout-outs or tips for your fellow Lomographers?

Shoot forever!!

From Experimental to Ordinary: LomoAmigo Martin Dietrich Tests the Minitar-1 Art Lens

In order to escape the world of facts and figures, tax auditor Martin Dietrich discovered photography as his creative counterpart almost seven years ago. On a trip to Paris he fell in love with analog photography and the magic of film has been fascinating to him since then. But he also appreciates the benefits of digital photography. For Lomography he tested the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens on his Fuji X-Pro 1 camera. Check out Martin's photos and learn more about the founder of the popular Neoprime magazine.

Camera Collections: theonlydrp's Vintage and Handmade Gear

Some lomographers prefer to hoard as many analog cameras their shelves and budgets can support. Some would rather keep a manageable number that they can regularly shoot with. Community member Joshua Kennedy belongs to the latter group. From 40 cameras, he downsized his collection to 13, as he puts it, "really good ones" that suit his shooting habits and style. In this interview, he breaks down his small yet dependable arsenal of vintage and handmade cameras and how an organized schedule allows him to shoot with each one on a regular basis.
